Pelican Point Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 36 hole golf course facility located in Gonzales, Louisiana.
Pelican Point has two 18-hole golf courses. They are The Links and The Lakes.
The Lakes at Pelican Point opened for play on November 1, 2002. The par 71 golf course measures a little over 6,500 yards from its championship tees. Doglegs shaped by trees and mounds, this course requires patience along with accuracy off the tee. The undulated Champions Bermuda greens provide for a challenging and superb putting surface. Challenging recovery shots and bump and runs are common for the wayward iron shot. Natural areas with native wildlife and wildflowers are the backdrop for the back nine holes.
Pelican Point's premiere facility, The Links golf course winds through the prestigious Pelican Point Golf Community. The Links course opened for play in 1998. The Links offers generous fairways, large greens, and four sets of tees which makes the course playable for all golfers.
The putting surface is the latest in turf technology. Champions Dwarf Bermuda grass offers tour quality greens year round. Holes 16, 17, and 18 provide for a dramatic ending to your round of golf.

I received a great deal on green fees because I was on their mailing list. Great bargain for the course.
Course has a couple of challenging holes but for the most part you just have to hit it straight to get to the green.
Pelican Point Country Club actually has two 18 hole courses to chose from. One is called the Lakes and the other the Links. Links is priced higher but I believe it is better maintained. Both are great courses for the price.

They had sand on the greens due to the work they had done earlier in the week. The price was discounted for that reason.
